Word of the President
In October at the Canadian Canon Law Conference in Charlottetown I was elected the new president of the CCLS. It is a pleasure to introduce myself as a Priest of the Diocese of Charlottetown and a Canon Lawyer. Since becoming President there has been an Executive Meeting in Ottawa, the establishment of some new committees, and obviously the opportunity to provide new input into a very vibrant Society. The Executive is an experienced group and working with them will be a pleasure. As an Executive we are open to input and suggestions from our membership and the more involvement the better.
There is much work to be done on your behalf before the next Convention. There are times that we will call upon you to participate in our Committee structure, and know that your special gifts and talents can be greatly utilized in building up our Society. It is my hope that each member called upon to serve the works of the Society will be greatly enriched by their involvement.
We pray that the Canadian Canon Law Society will be a valuable resource to the Church, the CCCB, and every Canadian Diocese
