Dear Members of the Canadian Canon Law Society,
Greetings of Peace and Joy at this most Sacred time of the Year! I hope that this letter finds you well and in good health. We certainly live in challenging times which makes everything more complicated. There is no part of our lives that has not been affected by our current circumstances. This is why, I write to you today to encourage you with the Good News of the Birth of Our Saviour Jesus Christ.
It is at this time, when we reflect on the Christmas story and we pause from our everyday activities and concerns. By looking to the little Child born in Bethlehem so many years ago, we can put things in context. The Lord of Lords and King of Peace has come to dwell among us. Through the gift of the Jesus through Mary, humanity has been blessed forever more. We now experience the love of God in the presence of Christ among us. What a great reason to be filled with joy!
On behalf of the Executive of the Canadian Canon Law Society, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. Even though, we may not be able to celebrate Christmas in the ways that we are accustom, we are united in the spirit of this season, a spirit that brings us together in the Lord and allows us to overcome any adversity.
May the Lord Bless you and your family with health and happiness in the coming year!
