Paul Madrid, this year's recipient of the 2023 CCLS bursary sent the following message:

As this year’s recipient of the Canadian Canon Law Society bursary, I write to express my sincere thanks to the many donors continuing to support students studying canon law at Saint Paul University through their contributions.

This bursary is especially helpful for those not sponsored by a diocese or institute in their studies, which makes someone like me—a layman in his first year of the doctoral program—especially grateful for the honor of being this year’s recipient.
