Dr Michael-Andreas Nobel, member of the Canadian Canon Law Society and Professor of Canon Law at Saint Paul University has recently published two series of books on procedural law – CIC and CCEO. Both series are in English and Latin.
In the first series, Dr. Nobel attempts "to outline the development of current canonical norms, starting from the drafting of the 1917 Code of Canon Law, the drafting of the current Code of Canon Law, the drafting of the Instruction Dignitas connubii ... In addition, the Code of Canons of the Eastern Catholic Churches is recognized." The first series covers canons 1400-1691 over three volumes over six books:
The second set is "an attempt to outline the development of current canonical norms for the Eastern Catholic Churches, starting from the motu proprio Sollicitudinem Nostram, the schema of the Codex Iuris Canonici Orientalis, and the drafting of the Codex Canonum Ecclesiarum Orientalium."
